Plant-Based Candy Corn Recipe

1 ¼ cup Confectioners Sugar

3 ½ Tbsp Tapioca Starch

½ cup Cane Sugar 

⅓ cup Blue Agave

5 Tbsp Butter

2 Tbsp water

pinch of salt 

½ tsp Vanilla

red and yellow Food Coloring


Mix confectioners sugar and tapioca starch and set aside.

Bring cane sugar, blue agave, plant-based butter, water, and salt to boil. Stir occasionally until it reaches 240F. Add vanilla and mix. 

Add hot mixture into confectioners sugar bowl and stir until combined. Place on parchment paper and allow to cool. 

Once cooled, separate dough into three pieces and add food coloring to two of the pieces. Yellow to one piece and yellow and red to make orange to the other piece.

Roll three ropes out of the dough pieces, and place them next to each other in the following order: yellow, orange, and white. Flatten and cut into triangles. 

Sprinkle more starch, and allow them to dry for at least 6 hours.
